The Saudi Society of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases
The Saudi Society for Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases was established based on the telegram of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education No. 17/7/2 (24770) dated 13 Shawwal 1424 AH under the umbrella of Imam Abdulrahman bin Faisal University, with its headquarters at King Fahad University Hospital in Al-Khobar, SSMMID aims to advance both theoretical and practical knowledge in its field while offering scientific and applied consultations and studies to public and private sectors in microbiology and infectious diseases. Guided by the regulations governing scientific societies in Saudi universities, its vision is to create a Gulf Region free of microbial and infectious diseases, with a mission dedicated to combating and controlling these diseases effectively.
